Chicago tourism campaign pitches big-city amenities to Midwestern neighbors

The Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau on Thursday will unveil its most comprehensive advertising campaign in recent memory, aiming for a bold pitch to markets within driving distance across the Midwest. The centerpiece of the $2.3 million campaign will be television and online ads to launch Jan. 9 in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Detroit and Cincinnati.
