Thanks to new district boundaries that Democrats drew to favor their own candidates, party leaders said Wednesday that they hope to pick up two to five seats in Illinois now held by Republicans—a significant chunk of the 25 seats the Dems to regain control of the U.S. House. "The path to those 25 seats runs right through the state of Illinois. We have some huge pickup opportunities in Illinois," says Rep. Steve Israel of New York, who heads the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
