Mayor Rahm Emanuel took to the warpath last night against Mitt Romney, accusing the GOP presidential contender of trying to sink the American auto industry.
The mayor appeared on Piers Morgan's show in a segment that appears to have been taped in a vacant Chicago City Council chambers.
"Clearly, Mitt Romney's economic policies want to take us to a point in time which actually led to this crisis we've had, both in auto industry, the financial sector and the economy as a whole," Emanuel says. "Remember, if it was up to Mitt Romney, we wouldn't have an auto industry. He said 'Let 'em go.'"
