Rumors that Chicago Public Schools chief Jean-Claude Brizard is planning a big reshuffling of top administrators appear to be misplaced.
The district says there's no grounds for the speculation, which had focused on chief education officer Noemi Donoso, according to District 299 blogger Alexander Russo.
"There's been no change in the former Denver Public Schools administrator's portfolio of responsibilities. Her last day wasn't earlier this week. There wasn't an epic behind the scenes fight over senior staffing and who's really in control of things," he writes.
It's rare that this type of rumor is completely baseless, so I wouldn't be surprised if something were in the works at CPS. It'll be interesting to find out what that might be.
Update, 4/30: News broke Friday night that Donoso is, in fact, out. Score one for the rumor mill.
