Blagojevich reportedly bound for Colorado prison

Rod Blagojevich will serve his 14-year sentence at a federal prison in Colorado as he had sought, sources said Tuesday. Blagojevich is due to report to prison by March 15.

Minor infractions costly at Noble charter schools

A Chicago charter school franchise often touted by Mayor Rahm Emanuel has pocketed some $387,000 in fees over three years by issuing demerits for “minor infractions” ranging from not sitting up straight to openly carrying “flaming hot” chips, parents and students charged Monday.

Free Parking? Not for Taxpayers

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has maintained he's a steward of taxpayers' dollars, and on Tuesday sent a letter to all city department heads and agencies requesting an immediate review of all employee parking expenses paid for by the city. Meanwhile, reports show taxpayers are spending about $1 million each year for government employees to park in downtown garages in Chicago’s Loop.

Kirk's upgraded to ‘good’ condition as senator watches Super Bowl

Sen. Mark Kirk’s condition has been upgraded from “fair” to “good.” Doctors hope to be able to re-attach the 8-inch-by-4-inch section of his skull that had to be removed after he suffered a stroke two weeks ago. Then the Highland Park Republican can begin physical therapy.
