Democratic Senate contender Alexi Giannoulias has had a good couple of weeks, placing negative stories about opponent Mark Kirk's resume in the Washington Post and the New York Times.
But although the campaign seems to be breaking Alexi's way these days, I have to question the strategy of initiating stories like this in the national media to the exclusion of Illinois political reporters. You know, the reporters who actually get read on a daily basis by people who vote in Illinois.
