This summer, we’ll all have the regrettable opportunity to watch what is hopefully the finale of Rod Blagojevich’s celebrity circuit – his trial.
Surely, we’d be better served to focus on our economic future and what’s at stake in November, but let’s be honest: We won’t be able to look away as he takes the stand and yet another reality show begins.

President Obama has followed up quickly on his "state of the union" pledge to support high-speed rail, awarding $1.23 billion to projects in Illinois.
"There’s no reason Europe or China should have the fastest trains," Obama said in his address to Congress last night.

On Sunday, U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky also endorsed Giannoulias, calling him the "best candidate" to keep President Obama's former Senate seat in Democratic hands. Schakowsky represents suburban voters in a Congressional district above Chicago.
